As part of the vision for women empowerment set forth by the Chief Minister of Punjab, the Managing Director PSIC, Ms. Saira Omer held a meeting with representatives from 11 women chambers of commerce across the province. The meeting was aimed at furthering the government’s commitment to empowering women and fostering economic growth. During the meeting, Managing Director discussed the key areas of focus, including women empowerment, assistance for local artisans, and the role PSIC can play in facilitating these objectives. She highlighted the success of the Women Resource Centre and Incubators (WRCI),in Lahore and expressed her vision to expand this mission. The discussions also focused on how to strengthen the partnership between the government and the chambers, with each participant offering valuable insights and expertise. while discussing in detail the challenges and opportunities within their regions The meeting concluded with the MD proposing the establishment of sub-committees to tackle specific areas such as curriculum development, to expand the export quality, and promoting craft innovation to ensure the growth and success of women entrepreneurs and artisans in Punjab.
